I Met The Enemy and I Am It!
It is amazing the courage and positive nature of babies and small children. Can you imagine a baby who stopped trying to walk because they fell down the first day, the second day or the third? They keep standing and falling and standing and falling until they can stand and rarely fall.
Then they challenge themselves further to learn to ride a bike, water ski, snow ski or roller skate. Yet in a few years we have told them "NO" so many times, to try to keep them from hurting themselves, they now have created an image of "I CAN'T".
In life, many people that think they can't; and they don't. Some fears are valid, yet some events that have happened are misinterpreted and we arrive at a fear instead of just a lesson learned. Some of these fears of the unknown or misinterpreted events can paralyze us. Phobias and fears are sticks in the energy system, called energy cysts and can block our progress.
There are other fears to be aware of too. Let's look at a quote from Dennis Waitley, "Fears, even the most basic ones, can totally destroy our ambitions. Fear can destroy fortunes. Fear can destroy relationships. Fear, if left unchecked, can destroy our lives. Fear is one of the many enemies lurking inside us."
One fear Dr. Waitley talks of is indifference, one is indecision, one is doubt, one is worry and insecurity and the last one he warns against is being over cautious. If we are to succeed, we must not be too timid to our approach of life. Dr. Waitly further states, "Timidity is not a virtue; it's an illness. If you let it go, it'll conquer you. Timid people don't get promoted. They don't advance and grow and become powerful in the marketplace. You've got to avoid over-caution."
It is often said learning is not forcing information down our throats but is sometimes unlearning and forgiving ourselves and others. This allows knowledge to come from within and from God, Innate or Spirit. We must release our fears.
Henry Ford said, "Whether you think you can, or think you can't…you're right."
Vincent Van Gogh said "If you hear a voice within you saying, "You are not a painter, then by all means paint - and that voice will be silent."
